Behind the scenes

Bodies of Water is a celebration of art, joy, movement and beauty set on the bank of the Thames River. Premiering at the tail end of the most trying part of the pandemic, the the piece was a ritual which welcomed us back into the city; with its public spaces, shared community and visceral experiences. The vibrant costumes, which at once separates the dancers from their surroundings, and extends their shape into the sand, could be seen from across the water and spectators were drawn to the piece from afar - Bodies of Water becoming a spectacle to gather people in physical space after a challenging phase of separation.
Bodies of Water also included a series of workshops on the theme of nature and movement to Age UK-groups, as well as primary Schools in rural UK.
